Who are we?
Byld is a Spanish Corporate Venture Builder founded in 2017 that designs, validates, and launches new ventures with corporations sharing risks and rewards from day one. We lead and co-found new ventures from scratch combining the best of the entrepreneurial and corporate worlds to encourage the creation of scalable businesses with an international scope.
Together with Telefónica Venture Builder, we have designed, validated, and built the business plan for Hawkai, a startup created to improve the process of attracting and selecting talent in the world of human resources.
Hawkai is a cutting-edge solution designed and intended for HR departments of large companies to make the recruitment process more efficient, and data-driven. It aims to improve decision-making by ensuring a reduction in recruitment time while increasing the candidate fit for the vacancy. In addition, thanks to the technology behind Hawkai, based among others on Generative Artificial Intelligence, it allows the analysis of 100% of the candidates for a vacancy, analyzing each profile individually and in comparison with other candidates, generating the necessary information to make decisions based on data beyond keywords or basic information from a CV or motivation letter. Besides that, the candidates' experience is completely different, being flexible and adaptable to their agenda, reducing the biases that can occur in the selection process, and obtaining detailed feedback.
About the role
We are looking for an entrepreneurial business leader with experience in growth, business, and technology, especially in platform business models. A digital-first professional with experience in scaling up a company internationally and a management track record.

Responsibilities
We are looking for exceptional Founder/CEO who will be responsible for:
- Establish a clear company vision and direction as well as develop high-quality business strategies and plans together with the Board of Directors, ensuring their alignment with short-term and long-term objectives.
- Build and manage a motivated team through an outstanding culture.
- Driving growth, profitability, and company values as well as day-to-day operations to ensure they produce the desired results and are consistent with the overall strategy and mission.
- Be the public face for Hawkai.
- Lead the fundraising activities, both public (I+D+i) and private (corporate strategic partners).
- Manage our company’s position in the overall industry by partnership building and continuous market research on competitors.
- Establish and take full ownership of the Go-To-Market plan and execution.
- Manage revenue, expenses, and external financing to maintain the consistent growth of the business.
- Oversee KPIs of the business.
- Owning the operational budget and managing burn rate.
- Keep the Board of Directors (Byld + Corporate Partners) informed on progress on strategic goals.
- Spot risks to new product lines or sales channels and develop relevant responding plans.
- Help with all technical issues raised by our clients, and negotiating solution plans.
- Maintaining a deep knowledge of the markets and industry of the company.
Who are we looking for:
- +8 years’ work experience, having held a managing position. Entrepreneurial experience is a plus.

- You have an entrepreneurship mentality. Ability to think outside the box, to truly imagine and articulate a strategy to unleash the full market potential for the company. - You can show experience leading the launch of best-in-class digital products.
- You have a proven track record in B2B businesses, startups, and people management.
- You have experience building and scaling organizations at Series A-B companies.
- You can think strategically and operate successfully together with the rest of the team.
- You are “coachable”, adaptable, and have strong leadership skills.
- You have relevant and strong sales skills.
- You have a proven track record managing a P&L.
- You have experience hiring and retaining a good team.
- You have empathy. You’re a good guy (that’s something really important and directly related to the success of our ventures).
- You feel aligned with leadership by example. Able to motivate, inspire, and create an inclusive and positive work environment for all. Experience leading a team, with a willingness to invest in the coaching and development of your team members.
- You hold exceptional communication and organizational skills. Able to communicate and listen effectively; great written, verbal, and presentation skills in both Spanish and English are a must.
- You are passionate about the Human Resources field and how technologies can enhance related processes.
Desirable:
- You have knowledge or prior experience within the human resources industry either working in a big corporation, having experience recruiting lots of candidates, or with human resources startups.
- Having established a long network of contacts with professionals and companies in the Human Resources industry.
